OUR STORY

Where It All Began

As a young child, I was in the kitchen with my Mom, and I wanted to learn EVERYTHING. (And I did!) Soon enough, I was baking on my own and refining recipes with minor adjustments, making them my own. However, some have remained unchanged.

My early 20s marked the start of my bread-making journey, and by my late 20s, I had sworn off buying bread at the store and decided to do everything myself.

I won't tell you how old I am (LOL), but it's been a few years of sourdough baking now, and I have loved every minute of it. I started baking two loaves a week just for myself (I ate some every morning for breakfast), and then began making them as gifts for others.

Early in 2023, I put a sign up in my condo building, offering it to others who live there, and to my surprise, I was contacted by a few who seemed really excited. The next step was posting in a local group, and before I knew it, I had to buy additional supplies to make 4 loaves per day, then 6, then 8, then 10 (it doesn't seem like much, but it is for a home bakery).

Within a couple of months, I had added several more items to my offerings, and I had to ask my partner, Brad, to help me fulfill orders. We worked together in the wee hours of the morning preparing bagels, pretzels, cookies, English Muffins, and, of course, sourdough.

Fast forward to the fall of 2023, and Brad and I were looking for retail space to open a bakery. With Brad's encouragement (I was full of self-doubt), we went for it and made it happen.

We started in a tiny space in Willow Point in January 2024, and by August 2024, we had already outgrown the space (and encountered some issues), so we found a bigger spot in Campbellton and moved in September 2024!

Today, we produce small batches of sourdough baked goods while enjoying our fantastic staff and indulging in a lot of delicious bread!
